Hey everyone, I'm dealing with vibration issues in my centrifuge fan rotor. I've done everything I could think of to find the source. I've checked the bearings and tried to find the heavy spot. The vibration is less annoying now, but it's still there. Any ideas on what to do next? Do you think I might need drive shaft balancing?

It sounds like you've already covered a lot of ground. Since you've checked the bearings and balanced the rotor, one thing that comes to mind is the alignment of the drive shaft. Misalignment can cause persistent vibrations. Have you checked if the drive shaft is properly aligned with the motor and the rotor?

I'd also suggest looking into any potential issues with the coupling between the motor and the drive shaft. Sometimes, wear or misalignment in the coupling can cause vibrations. If the coupling is okay, then drive shaft balancing could indeed be a good next step. It might also be worth checking for any resonance issues in the system. Sometimes, even a small vibration can be amplified if it matches the natural frequency of some part of the equipment. And if you want to do drive shaft balancing you will need special equipment, there are different equipments and i think that you should find appropriate
